Carpal Tunnel Sydnrome

Last time I was in San Francisco, a guy in my building told me a story about someone he used to work with. He said the guy used a laptop with the inbuilt mouse and ended up with carpal tunnel syndrome. I just dimissed it, but here we are a few months later and I have a tingling sensation in my palms. I tried a few of the diagnostic tests, which didn't send pain shooting through my arms, like they say they should, but it isn't the best to have any strange feeling in the hands at all. I'm buying a separate mouse and better start wearing wrist splints.

Flowers

I observed a fairly emotional argument last night between a couple. The woman was crying and the guy was telling her behavour was unacceptable as he "treated her like a Queen." My sister always used to say, you should never do something for someone and expect anything in return. I think that is very true. For the guy last night, I guess what he needs to do now is send flowers. He could go for a straight flower gift, or even a gourmet gift basket. Places like Dot Flowers ship the same day and you can order online. It is one thing to say you treat your lady like a Queen, but another to back that up. He should accept at least 50% of the responsibility for making her cry, so the flowers or gourmet gift basket should really do the trick.

Progress

Well, it has only been a little over a month since the last update re: the boat license. That's progress and actually quite speedy by Australian standards. I should be doing the practical exam later this week. I had a 3 days stint on a yacht last week, so took the time and opportunity to do more study, read the AUS 202 chart and watch my first aid CD-ROM.
