Dave Bishop ~ David Price ~ Anthony Price ~ Leonie Gall

Dave Bishop and the Sinners remind us of what it is like to go and see a great live band where the focus is on audience connection, organic sound, genuine emotion and simple entertainment. Here you will see no bells and whistles or fancy additions. It's all about honest song writing and quality music. These musos are the real deal.

At the helm of Dave Bishop and the Sinners we find highly acclaimed Australian singer/songwriter Dave Bishop. A charismatic storyteller with a unique ability to communicate life, love and the human condition, Bishop has a rare observational and raw songwriting style.

Possessing a deep, slightly gruff voice punctuated by a genuine Aussie accent, Bishop's melodic acoustic guitar and sound harmonica skills reinforce this artist as indeed the "whole package."

Bishop's extensive musical Resume is flooded with countless band projects, hundreds of quality gigs, domestic and overseas touring and includes critically acclaimed solo album release Above the Roof.

Bishop is best known for his work as front man and songwriter for Canberra rock outfit Night Train, between 2002 and 2008. Night Train was the catalyst for Bishop’s impressive airplay and success with beautiful ballad anthem "Black Sally Lane" and the band that prompted Defence to invite him to play for deployed forces during 2006/2007 in the Solomon Islands, Egypt and Cyprus.

Bishop formed Dave Bishop and the Sinners in 2009 with mates 'Price' brothers – lead guitarist Anthony and drummer, David. The lineup was complete with recent addition, bass player, Leonie Gall. With more than a century of experience between them, the three "Sinners"are accomplished and respected as musicians in their own right.

Anthony, also a highly regarded live sound engineer, is a very experienced but beautifully understated guitarist with a subtle style that creeps up on you. Anthony's gift of playing exactly what is needed and ‘keeping it simple’ has earned him some memorable riffs.

Anthony's impressive experience in genres such as latin, jazz, swing and rock, playing lead and rhythm guitar in several successful Canberra bands has taken him as far as Canada. He met Bishop as resident sound engineer for Night Train, a job he continues to this day.

Drummer, Dave Price is well known for his solid, reliable style and forms the foundation for Bishop’s songs to soar. Price is an experienced songwriter, receiving airplay earlier last decade for his tune, Birthday.

Price's refined ability to understand the relationship between melody and rhythm has made him a musician featured on countless Australian recordings and in many band projects.

Quirky, yet insightful musician Leonie Gall, crafts the bands unique melodic bass lines. Leonie's broad musical training, songwriting ability and decades of genre experience from classical, through jazz and big band to hard rock has added an interesting dimension to the band. The bonus addition of Leonie's powerful vocal harmonies has taken Dave Bishop and the Sinners to a new level.

Dave Bishop and the Sinners are dedicated musicians and performers, who in combining Bishop's memorable songs with carefully selected and cleverly interpreted covers has created a tight live show not to be missed.
